| Characteristics of Growth and Development of an Indica Three-line CMS Line Quan 5A with Mid- and Early-maturity |

Abstract The characteristics of growth and development of an indica CMS line Quan 5A were studied. The results showed that when Quan 5A was sown in the beginning of April, the growth stage from sowing to initial flowering of Quan 5A was 76d, and one day longer than Zhanshan 97A, belonging to mid-and early-maturity indica three-line CMS line. The number of leaves from main stem of Quan 5A was14, and the same to Zhanshan 97A. Moreover, Quan 5A can harvest more yield in both seed propagation and production in virtue of its traits of excellent sterility and flowering behavior.
