Abstract In order to screen straw-decomposing inoculants suitable for north of Fujian, 7 different strawdecomposing inoculants were added to rice straw, the weight loss in 14 d, 24 d and 42 d were investigated and compost maturity were evaluated. results showed that straw-decomposing inoculants influenced compost maturity in varying degrees, the efficiently-decomposing varied with composting process. Inoculants A2(Ai yi kang) and A6(Chun wei) had the best effects on decomposition of rice straw and suitable for extension and application.
