1 The Correlation Between Main Agronomic Traits and Yield Per Plant in Transferred Intergeneric Material Rice in Dry Conditions

Abstract: The experiment results show that in dry conditions, the rice is transferred between the different intergeneric materials, including the descendants of the different recipient parent, single plant grain yield and agronomic traits is closely related to the plant effectively panicle number, panicle length, number of secondary branches per panicle grain number,seed setting rate and grains per panicle related to effective yield per plant is also greater; the results of direct assessment and selection of field drought resistance materials provided. 8 Effects of Different Sprayers and Spraying Methods on Controlling Rice Leaf Roller

Abstract: Effects of four different sprayers and spraying methods on controlling rice leaf roller were studied at Changting County in 2010. The results showed that, 3WF-950 backpack sprayer not only saved time and labor, but its effect of controlling rice leaf roller was significantly higher than that of 20-type electric sprayer or 3W8S-16-type hand sprayer, suggesting this sprayer should be popularized in plant protection machineries. The control effect of 3WH-36 stretcher-style sprayer was slightly lower than that of 3WF-950 backpack sprayer, but its spraying efficiency was significantly higher than the latter. 3WH-36 stretcher-style sprayer can be recommended as plant protection machinery in carrying out large-scale control of rice leaf roller.
